Namaste Solar designed and built this system at 888 Federal Boulevard. The 24,200-square-foot building is owned by Surya Ventures LLC, which rents the space to Namaste Solar. The system is part of Xcel Energy’s Solar*Rewards Medium Program, which is an incentive program that provides monthly payments to the owner of the system in exchange for the Renewable Energy Credits produced by the solar system. The incentive program encourages solar development by providing system owners with payments for the power produced by their systems. Commercial building owners can take advantage of these incentives to reduce the payback period and increase the IRR on their solar investments.
