Kent Middle School

PROJECT DETAILS

Kent Denver is a 96-year-old private school located on the 200-acre Blackmer Estate. Kent Middle School, dedicated to grades 6-12, is a new building that was sustainably built to LEED Platinum standards. Namaste Solar worked with the project architect Semple Brown to design and install this array. The system is expected to produce about 130,100 kWh in the first year, offsetting approximately 67% of their estimated annual usage. This installation is unique in that it is flush-mounted without penetrations; all attachments were heat welded onto the membrane. This technique was also used for the installation on the Kent Upper School.
