Beware of solar companies taking your federal tax credit. Namaste along with many other local solar companies are offering fair prices for the first 12 months, and then if you don't give them your... federal tax credit your financed payment goes up significantly. I find this to be a very predatory and unethical business practice. I have a sneaking suspicion they are artificially inflating prices because they are basically stealing YOUR tax credit. It completely negates the federal government's attempt to be proactive in climate change. Any company that does this doesn't actually care about you or the environment, they just want your tax credit. 🤌I bet you solar is going to be a lot less costly in 2023. This type of practice should be illegal!!! Only giving them a 4 star review because the low reviews are getting buried, surprise, surprise...When I confronted them about this, they didn't even respond to my email.... Silence told me everything I needed to know.read more

From start to up and running, Namaste put us at ease with a big investment. Anna was extremely responsive and explained things very well to us. Zero salesperson pressure.We narrowed down our... choices to 2 vendors, and when we informed the other bidder that we were going with Namaste, they more or less confirmed that Namaste was a great choice. How often do you hear that?Things moved along smoothly, and the process was very transparent. We went from a $285 electric bill (pre-solar) to $18 after our first full month of solar with an approx $180/mo installment for our PV system. (*Note - we also turned off the heat on our hot tub which accounts for significant electric bill savings too. Hot tubs are insane energy guzzlers!) I was actually excited to look at our first post-solar installation electricity bill and love to nerd out on the mySolarEdge app to see how much our system is producing - and it is actually producing more than was projected in Namaste's initial proposal.Anyhow, also want to add that the inspector and installers were all fantastic too - courteous, prompt, and very happy to explain things in terms I could easily digest. There really is something to be said about B-corp operations, and it certainly shows with all the Namaste folks we were in touch with. When I decided to install a solar system at my home, I reviewed about a dozen companies. Namaste' was near the top of the list, and recommended by City of Fort Collins. A friend at work has used... Chose namaste because it was mid-market in terms of pricing (at least when I was shopping), and I liked that it was based out of Colorado. I had looked into buying the permitting, materials,... inspections, and subcontracting the install myself, and decided I'd rather be totally hands-off. Which, to Namaste's total credit, I was able to be; it was a totally hands-off experience, which I greatly appreciated. Super impressed with the technology options they provided as well. The one "problem" I had (have?) was that I asked a few different people at Namaste about including a battery array with our system to smooth out our peak demand (a real "nickel and dime" charge that most utilities in Colorado charge solar producing customers), and didn't really get follow-up information from anyone on what that would look like. Missed sales opportunity and something that slightly decreased my satisfaction with the system.read more

"honest-contractor radar" and I fully trust these folks.We bought a home with solar panels already installed, and didn't know how to get them working. They debugged our (relatively unknown to them) optimizer units and worked with that company to get things up and running. They also stood by their work when they made a slight issue during anti-rodent screen installation and came back to do the repair for free.I've worked a lot with Michael Payton who leads their service department and he is one of the best construction professionals I have EVER worked with in years of both home ownership and a career in construction.I wouldn't have anyone else work on my solar array!read more

I have had 2 excellent experiences with Namaste SolarLast year we had our solar panels installed. It was just the beginning of the pandemic and we were all trying to navigate the unknown quantity... that was/is COVID (at that time). I think the team that installed our panels did an excellent job with working with us in trying to maintain cleanliness and wearing masks when they entered our home; which was really only once or twice. There were some holes that were mis-drilled in our roof due not realizing that we had vaulted ceilings (and not an attic), but they remedied and fixed those holes quickly. They also helped us by painting the conduit along the roof line so that it matched the paint color of our house to avoid any potential issues with our HOA. Ultimately their work was top notch.This year they helped us install some snow breakers along an edge of our panels so that we could avoid severe snow slides. The team that worked on it did an excellent job and made sure that we were satisfied before they left.Ultimately I am very satisfied with both of my interactions with Namaste Solar.read more

Namaste, a Boulder independent employee-owned company has proven to be the antidote to the large companies that promise everything but all to often fall shot. I chose Namaste over some of it’s... national competitors and, now two years later, continue to appreciate and admire it’s people, products and services.Pricing was as good or better than other quotes received. From initial contact through sign-up, design and installation, personalization, communications, expertise and reliability were clearly top/notch, with individuals highly motivated to go the extra mile. For example, extra time and materials were expended to ensure the near invisibility of the exterior conduit, without any attempt to charge more. This was consist with their demonstrated high integrity at every stage.Due to a potential remodel, I recently needed a rerouting of the conduit inside my garage which connects with the system controls. On first call I reached the appropriate person (no long holds, leaving of voicemails, delayed responses, etc) The service appointment was promptly scheduled for a specific time (no 4 hour time-window hassle.) The service team were punctual, personable and professional. Appropriate COVID precautions were observed as described in advance by the company. The work was done efficiently, perfectly, and at a reasonable cost.Our solar system has performed at or above expectations without maintenance issues or even hiccups. When I needed follow-up, Namaste’s service response was impressive, and strikingly different from some past experiences in other markets where, once the big sale is done, the customer with a subsequent small-ticket issue may be left languishing by the “big boys.”Consistently proving itself through word and deed, I have the highest regard for this flagship local company.read more

What a team Namaste has! We just had a second experience with them. First was team installing our solar system end of last year, in time for tax credits.Recently, we had our first interface with... service team. We wanted to have more control over melting snow coming off the roof and the solar system. Namaste gave us instant response to our inquiry, followed by regular communication, and service team on site within about a week. Juan and Colin followed all COVID best practices, were cheerful, polite, informative. Attractive, high-performance snow guard was promptly installed. I recently had a solar panel system installed by Namasté Solar and they did an incredible job. They took care of all the permitting and installed everything in two days. This included reinforcing one... section of the roof which didn't cost me anything extra. All the cabling runs in the attic so it looks great as well. The installers were very helpful explaining how the system works and getting hooked up to the app so that I can monitor the system. COVID instead of insisting on in-person sales calls like a lot of the other companies we received quotes from. From design to install, the experience was wonderful.... The registration process for rebates and jurisdictional requirements was a bit confusing. Namaste lead us through that process, that without their assistance, would have been very frustrating. Their field teams for both inspections and install were outstanding. Considerate the entire time, even helping a neighbor get out of her driveway after a much needed snow storm. When my insurance company let me know I would need a new roof, I wasn't sure how to handle my existing (owned) solar PV system as the company that installed it was no longer in business. Because of... my previous work with Namaste when I worked at a nonprofit where they installed a system, I contacted them. Namaste quickly understood my system, clarified my insurance details, and helped me schedule this work to be completed quickly. When they found a module not working correctly, they worked with me to contact my manufacturer, get the module replaced and installed. My system is working and looking better than before their work. I would highly recommend Namaste to anyone looking for a new system, a repair, or a reinstall. Namaste did a great job on my rooftop solar project. It was delayed by COVID which was frustrating but understandable and despite all the challenges of that they did a great job through the whole... process. We bought electric cars earlier in the year but didn't have a full year of electricity use history with the cars to justify the large size of our planned system to the utility (Xcel). Namaste worked this through with aplomb and it was approved with little work on our part. Their schedule was pretty booked out (made worse by COVID) but worth the wait as the intall process was exceptional and the system is working flawlessly and as billed. They coordinated the city inspection and the Xcel meter install which happened much more quickly than some of our friends had experienced with a different company. Perhaps our friends longer wait was due to COVID issues but either way we were excited to get the system up and running so quickly. Their price seemed higher than competitors at first but when I made sure to compare per kW and with the add-ins from others that were included in the Namaste price it was competitive, especially considering the quality of the components. I've been in touch via email after the install for a few miscellaneous questions and the responses have been helpful and usually within a few hours or at latest the next day. If you want a high quality system and install with what so far seems like great post-install support they are your team.read more

After reviewing about 10 different solar companies comparing apples to apples on my new solar install - Namaste came out on top. Communication was fast and responsive (regardless of communication... method) ....and I asked a ton of questions. This was my second PV system and went with Namaste for being the best on a purchase vs my last system which was a Lease. I am on my fourth month and everything is performing flawlessly.UPDATE1: Everything is still going strong - Namaste sent out information to me just in case anything was damaged by the recent mega-hail storm which was proactive and very customer friendly.UPDATE 2: Regardless of what the reviews say for any company, the real test is when you run into problems. Will the company back you up or leave you hanging when you need help? Namaste backed me up 100%!I won't get into all the gory details, but after a disaster left my family unable to live in our home, the good folks at Namaste came to the rescue. From the first call for help, they assembled their team and came up with several solutions to our unique situation. Once we decided on a course of action they made sure the PV system was quickly removed from our home so the other contractors could do their work. They tested and reinstalled the system afterwards working around the other dozen or so contractors at the time.I can't stress this enough - Namaste cares what happens. The people are amazing! If you are in the market for solar and you say "Solar companies are all the same aren't they?", or "such and such company is a few bucks less, I'll go with them". Stop for a minute and don't just think about the bottom line.Go with a company who actually cares about you, your house, and your family.read more

Namaste worked with my schedule of having to get a new roof after a hail storm. My panels were completed in June for an early July install. Couldn't get the new roof finished until November and they... were patient and understanding. They did a great pro job., I just couldn't be Happier with their service and personnel. Excellent Service! This company is committed to client satisfaction - it seems baked into their DNA. I bought a house in Denver with an existing solar system - and all was initially fantastic. But... suddenly, performance began to get wonky and irregular, and my solar system provider, not Namaste, sent a Namaste technician to diagnose the issue. Unfortunately, when the Namaste team came, the system was operational. Days later, the issue reared its head again - and again Namaste was sent to diagnose - and again, the system was operational. I was beside myself when the system again bonked - then rebooted - then bonked again. When I tried to speak with a real person at the solar system provider, a big national behemoth, I was bounced around in voicemail hell. But Namaste was immediately responsive by both email and phone, each and every time. I soon had a committed, dedicated team of Namaste professionals who wanted to help me figure out the problem. Eventually, I was able to catch the system down and video the codes my inverter was displaying in real time - and that gave the Namaste team the critical info they needed to solve my issue. They worked closely with me to get that inverter replaced by the manufacturer. My system has been golden ever since and I am back to generating beautiful clean solar energy for my house. The Namaste team is fantastic. They are tenacious about solving issues, and they're so knowledgeable and excited about the technology. I am so grateful to the service team at Namaste!read more

We signed up during the early summer to have Solar panel were installed on our house, hoping to have the system up and running before the end 2019 (and get the larger tax credit still available.) ... Namaste gave us an install date of late November, but was able to get our system up and running by in early October. The city was even speedy with their part of the install. We had Namaste install our system 3 years ago. They were possibly slightly more expensive than the other two bids we got, but so absolutely worth it. We had just put a pricey new shingle roof on the... house and didn't want it damaged (as has been reported with other companies) and the Namaste team was wonderful - on time, pleasant, they did everything they promised to do. . system still working great and we get a check from Xcel every month. Namaste just put solar on a friend's roof in 2019 and again did a great job. We are therefore in the process of having Namaste install a second system on our mountain place in Pine. Namaste Solar installed our solar system in February 2019. The installation went smoothly due to Namaste's planning and professionalism. Additionally, they made all the paperwork required for Excel... Energy, rebates, tax credits, and warranties easy and painless. They provided advice on which Excel program would likely provide us with the most benefit. Our Namaste system has been online since March (it took Excel 30 days to install their production meter) and so far our electricity bills have been $0.00 and we have been accruing additional KWH in our solar bank that we hope will help carry us through the shorter solar days of winter.read more

We didn’t know what a “B Corp” was until we read about it on Namaste Solar’s website (“B Corporations are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their employees, suppliers,... communities, consumers, and environment”), but we support working with companies with that type of commitment. That Namaste Solar is employee owned is another plus. We found all of the people with whom we worked – Gary, Whitney, Jason, Davis, Zach, and Houston – to be personable and enthusiastic as well as knowledgeable, professional, skilled, and conscientious workers. They feel like friends. Namaste Solar offers a quality product and service. After we turned the system on, we celebrated with champagne as we watched the electric meter go backwards and the increasing amount of CO2 that was not released into the atmosphere (about 25 pounds of CO2 per day so far) from burning fossil fuels because of the electricity that our panels were providing. So, are we pleased with our system and the work done? YES! Would we recommend Namaste Solar? YES!read more

My system was installed over five years ago (I was the first on my block). Namaste did the work and was very patient with me while I hemmed and hawed before pulling the trigger. They came back just... a couple years ago when I installed a whole new siding system on my house that required them to removed the converter and other panels and re-install once I was done. After being solicited by a national company I decided to look into solar (didn’t know I needed it until then). Called several for quotes and asked my local friends for a recommendation. Ultimately... namaste came up. They weren’t the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. They are local and came HIGHLY recommended by those who had used them. They know the local power companies, and how it all would work, plus they are employee owned.The review that sold me was from a guy who had a structural problem once the install began. Namaste bolstered his roof for the price of the extra lumber only, getting the job done with little fanfare or increased costs.After I picked them they came out on schedule, helped me with Excel, and played with my dog when they took breaks.I have zero complaints. They sold me a 75% system, but I actually have only paid for electricity for maybe 2 of the 17 months since install, which is more like 88%.read more

Late in 2018 Namaste replaced my 12-year old PVA system with a new one. It was part of a roof replacement, and initially the plan was simply to remove the old system, replace the roof, then... re-install a new system. Namaste was signed up to do this and did the removal. But when I inquired what a new system would be like, Namaste's plan made sense. I've been happy ever since. So far the new system has produced 25% more energy than the original system had produced at the corresponding time in previous years. But beyond the productivity, I can't say enough positive about the professionalism of the installation crew as well as the folks in the office. I have nothing but praise for the quality of people at Namaste, as well as the quality of their work. I've recommended them to others who are considering solar and will continue to do so.read more

They designed the perfect system for our needs, communicated clearly... throughout the process, and went above and beyond to deliver a great finished product despite the challenges of a complicated installation (solar panels on the roof of our house + garage, relocating our electric service to the garage and burying our power line so it no longer went over our backyard, and installing an EV circuit in our garage). Namaste provided and installed our home solar system 16 months ago and we haven't paid for electricity (other than a minimal connection fee which allow us to use Xcel as a large battery) since. We... have had no issues with the system - Namaste was professional and efficient with the installation and there have been no issues with the system since it went on-line. In particular, the solar panels were completely unaffected by spring and summer hail storms (wish we could say the same about the garden). Namaste also did the negotiating and navigation with Xcel, which was perhaps the most complicated aspect of putting solar on our house. We couldn't be more please. The added bonus has been a much larger reduction than we expected in winter power bills - our initial estimate that the system would pay itself back in about 15 years has been halved. I've had my solar installation for 2 years now, and couldn't be more pleased. Namaste personnel were extremely professional and responsive, and have been quick to answer follow-up questions after... their sale was complete. My panels have provided 100% of my electric needs, and even allowed me to shift some heating load from gas to electric. I recommend them highly!read more

We've had our system for 2 years now and love it. When we first started shopping solar, we wanted to purchase outright, vs lease and essentially switch power companies.We recieved quotes from 3... companies, Namaste offered the highest quality panels, with higher output per panel, which actually reduced our cost by 10k over the other companies. All in we have a 6k system, and our family has not paid for electricity since, in fact we get paid each month as part of Xcels solar rewards program, which Namaste was able to enroll us in.Durability of the system is amazing, the major hail storms that come through, destroyed roofs and businesses alike, however our panels kept on cranking with no issues at all.Go solar already!read more

Our inverter failed and Namaste came out the same day I called to diagnose. It was re-installed under warranty 2 weeks later, after the replacement arrived. Service "after" the sale is important... to me, and Namaste gets it done.read more

First, it is important to note that I try to stay local with everything I do. Namaste not only met my expectations, they exceeded them. I am 18 months out from the installation and I am still happy.... Examples of positives - the install was exactly as planned and completed in 2 days. The final inspections and release from Excel happened within the week (as promised) and I was live. Namaste offered to help (and called me to ensure I knew about resources) with any of my needs throughout the decision, installation, and turn on portions. Prior to the installation I was given an overview of what to expect and the system I went with should have covered 90% of my needs - actually I am at 99% of the household load. I am concurrently working to reduce usage and I did get a refund from Excel in year one. More importantly, I went on monthly budget billing at the one year mark and I am at $69.00 a month for my gas and electric combined (yes-$70.00 in January). I am installing a high efficiency boiler (with radiant floor) so I am looking forward to an even lower monthly bill now that gas usage will be more efficient. On top of all this - I am very grateful for Namaste's non-sales emails with useful information (legislation issues, hail concerns) at intervals through the year. Very satisfied, in fact I still keep my Namaste sign in the front yard.read more

We had Namaste Solar install solar panels at our home a couple of years back, and the entire process went very smoothly from design to build (albeit it took a few months due to their backlog but they... were very upfront about the timing). The system has been working well and is outproducing what they committed to. We also had a couple of issues with the invertor which Namaste resolved rightaway (great customer service).read more

Had a realistic design and costs associated . Didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Gave me a time line at the first meeting and they were always on time or early. I thought Namaste was terrific with the only caveat from getting 5 stars being the time frame until the work was started. Once started it was done quickly. When there was a problem (3 years later)... they were right there to fix it.read more

I have owned my photovoltaic system for 3 years in August. I had a very good experience with all the folks at Namaste, from their sales staff (who didn't puff up their pitch, just answered my... questions and respected my level of understanding about what I was buying) to their admin team who handled all the necessary applications with the City and arranged for the rebate I was eligible for, to the installation crew, who went above and beyond to get all the panels in place and get the system up and running properly. It hasn't malfunctioned at all, and even weathered some brief golf-ball sized hail this June without any apparent damage. A very knowledgable friend approved of the brands of equipment they offered. I spoke to 3 other companies, and I was by far most impressed with Namaste. Do your own comparison shopping, I imagine you'll choose Namaste!read more

Namaste Solar is part of building four new community solar arrays in Denver
Namaste Solar, in partnership with UX Solar, has broken ground on four new community solar projects in the Denver-metro-area that will total 8 MW of solar capacity. Our Keep the Lights on Colorado campaign raised over $43,000 for Colorado families!
Thank you to the Colorado individuals and businesses that joined us in supporting Energy Outreach Colorado, a Denver-based not-for-profit helping families throughout Colorado who are unable to keep up with utility payments. The donations from this campaign will support 176 Colorado families with community solar subscriptions for a year! These subscriptions provide long-term stability in the form of monthly bill credits that reduce the burden of home energy costs and free up dollars for other basic needs for these families – all while utilizing the cost saving and environmental benefits of clean solar energy.
