Namaste Solar was selected by Platte River Power Authority (PRPA) and FCI Constructors to design and install the solar array at the new PRPA headquarters, which achieved LEED Silver certification. The solar system covers the main office and maintenance shed. Both systems will generate 376 megawatt-hours annually, equivalent to removing 56 vehicles from the road, not burning 292,927 pounds of coal, or planting 4,396 trees. PRPA, the power provider for Colorado member-owners in Estes Park, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Loveland, has set an ambitious goal of 100% non-carbon energy mix by 2030, aiming to deliver clean energy that is “reliable, environmentally responsible and financially sustainable.” Namaste Solar is proud to support that goal with solar energy.
