American Outdoor Products (AOP) is now offsetting 100% of their energy usage with a 160 kW solar array. This family-owned company has been creating foods for backpacking, camping, and outdoor sports since 1951. AOP takes advantage of Xcel’s solar specific rate SPVTOU, which allows them to benefit from reduced demand rates. This system will produce 223MWh in year one, savings CO2 emissions that are equivalent to 17K gallons of gas.
