Each solar panel turns sunshine into clean energy, and every home and commercial property that makes the switch to solar is part of creating significant change. In 2024, we installed 1,028 projects that came out to 13,928 kW worth of solar power. We installed 200 batteries making these homes resilient to power outages. We also designed 5,394 systems and serviced over 1,560 projects.
Our 2024 solar installations are the equivalent of taking 3,645 cars off the road for the year, avoiding 17,359,891 pounds of coal being burned, or 2,383 home’s electricity use in one year. With this amount of energy production, you could charge 1,059,177,554 smartphones.
As an employee-owned cooperative, we believe in empowering our employees to take ownership of their work—literally! Our 63 co-owners, 23 candidates, and 196 total employees bring care, quality, and an ownership mentality to everything we do.
Namaste Solar continues to grow and operate in the communities along Colorado’s Front Range. As we grow, not only do we impact the local economy, but we promote more green jobs within the community. And we invest in our new hires and make it easier for new electricians to enter the field by providing a dedicated training crew. In 2024, Namaste Solar raised $53,000 for Energy Outreach Colorado through our Keep the Lights on Colorado campaign, and gave $59,000+ in support of other local organizations. We also spent 361 hours volunteering in the community by using our Volunteer Time On (VTO) program showing our commitment to being local and embedded in our communities.
Namaste Solar provides electrical apprenticeship training to our installation teams to help them build their skill sets and advance their careers. We invest heavily in our team to ensure the highest quality installations, provide the best in customer service, and to maintain our stellar safety record. In 2024, we funded 9,792 hours of electrical training.
Our electricians install in all kinds of weather – as long as it’s safe, of course. In 2024, we installed in 245 days of sunshine, 56 inches of snow, 128 days over 80 degrees, and 11 days below 32 degrees.
