Our Solar Grant program is the first of its kind in the U.S. offering full and matching grants to local nonprofits for commercial solar installations. To apply for one of our solar grants, your organization must meet the following requirements:
- Be a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit
- Share our values and vision
- Be located in the greater Denver/Boulder area only
- Benefit from a solar PV system up to 10kW in size
- Be within Xcel territory
1.) Our Matching Grant program enables nonprofits to benefit from a commercial solar system installation with minimal contribution. The agency’s contribution can be secured through specific grants, fundraisers, angel donors, or with general operating funds. The Matching Grant amount calculates the retail price of the solar system, deducts the utility rebate amount (generally 50-60%), and Namasté Solar contributes 50% of the remaining amount. 2.) Our Full Grant program enables nonprofits to benefit from a commercial solar system installation. The Full Grant amount calculates the retail price of the solar system, deducts the utility rebate amount (generally 50-60%), and Namasté Solar donates 100% of the remaining amount.
