Namasté Solar uses the Xcel Energy Solar*Rewards Rebate program as a design guide. Currently, there are three rebate categories: Small, Medium, and Large. Each category is based on the DC wattage of the solar PV system. As part of our turnkey installation, Namasté Solar will handle all the rebate paperwork.

Small: 0.5kW–10.0kW

• $2.00 per watt rebate paid upon installation
• $1.50 per watt Renewable Energy Credit (REC) payment paid upon installation Medium: Tier 1 - 10.1 kW – 100.0 kW 

Medium: Tier 1 - 10.1 kW – 100.0 kW

• $2 per watt rebate paid upon installation

Medium: Tier 2 - 100.1 kW – 500.0 kW

• $200,000 rebate

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, enacted in February 2009, created a renewable energy grant program that will be administered by the U.S. Department of Treasury. This cash grant may be taken in lieu of the federal business energy investment tax credit (ITC). Grants are available to eligible property placed in service in 2009 or 2010, or placed in service by the specified credit termination date (January 1, 2017) if construction began in 2009 or 2010: For commercial solar, the grant is equal to 30 percent of the basis of the property for solar energy.
